• The F&M Bank & Trust Company offers you a product in which you can safely invest deposits in excess of the standard FDIC insurance maximum through 100% FDIC-insured Certificates of Deposit.
• F&M Bank is part of a network of 1,900+ banks that must meet specific, stringent financial requirements to participate in the CDARS program.
• Your funds are placed in CDs that are technically issued by other member banks in increments of less than the standard FDIC insurance maximum to ensure that both principal and interest are eligible for full FDIC insurance.
• Terms of all CDs range from 4 weeks to 3 years
• Current F&M CD rates are paid
• No customer fees
• Minimum investment is $10,000
• Maximum investment in this product is up to an aggregate of $50 million
• Interest can be paid monthly or at maturity
• One monthly statement itemizes all certificate investments
• One tax statement per year includes all CD investments
